I’m a sucker for books that capture the essence of the genre, which in this case is the horror genre.
The art style of the books is often a little too dark, the descriptions are sometimes a little vague, and the descriptions often take place in dark, creepy places.
This leads to me not being all that impressed with most of the hardcover books I read.
This is probably because I’m not a fan of the format itself, but it’s hard to argue with the results.
The best hardcover novels that I can find are from the horror genres, with the exception of some of the lesser known, dark-themed books.
While you can pick up a book in any of these genres, the best ones are usually from the dark and gritty horror genre, with a few from the more mainstream, light-hearted, but also quite scary, genre.
The dark-theme books I picked for this list are:Blacklight: The Final Chapter by Joe AbercrombieThe Dark Tower series by Stephen KingThe Shining series by Stanley KubrickAnd if you are looking for something that isn’t in the dark-storytelling genre, there are a number of titles in this list that are more of a light-themed novel or novel.
While some of these titles might be for fans of dark stories, they are more suited to readers of light fiction.
If you are a fan and have never read any of the dark fiction or novella genres, I recommend that you check out these titles:The Dresden Files by James PattersonThe Dresden Codex by Mike MignolaAnd if the dark book is your thing, I have another list of books that I personally consider to be dark and dark themed books that are available for purchase in hardcover and ebook.
I have a few more books in the works that I think would make a great addition to your reading library, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the ones you have chosen.
