In an era of mass media saturation, a new generation of self-advocates is taking the reigns on the digital frontier.
The most well-known of these is Eragon creator J.K. Rowling, who is working with the authors of her book on how to embrace the self in all of its forms.
Now, Rowling is using Eragon’s hardcover to help her guide her readers through the process of learning self-reflection.
“This book is a really powerful tool that I think is a great way for us to understand ourselves and our place in the world,” Rowling told Recode.
“It’s a great opportunity to get to know ourselves and to see where we have been and where we want to go.
It’s a really fun way to engage and think about how we can take control of our lives and our lives are our destiny.”
In this excerpt from the new Eragon hardback, Rowling explains how she learned to love herself and the self.
The book also includes a series of video essays from the book’s writers and readers.
“You’re not just an extension of the people around you.
You are the one,” Rowling said.
“You are the soul.
And you are the only one.”
