It’s the perfect time for comic book fans to get back to reading their favorite characters and reliving those adventures in comic book form.
Watchmen: Return of the Watchmen comes out on February 27, 2019, the same day as Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.
It was the last time we saw the Watchman in comic form, so it’s a good time to take a look back at the characters that made the Watchmans iconic rogues gallery a phenomenon.
“I think that this book really captures the essence of Watchman, and I think that’s what it was for me,” said James Robinson, a Watchmen writer who also worked on the graphic novel The Last of Us.
“It’s really about the characters and the world that they were all about.”
Watchmen was created by Bryan Hitch and Garth Ennis in 1987, following the events of Watchtower.
It follows a group of superheroes who fight to save the world from a dark, sinister force known as The Watchman.
The characters are often referred to as the Watchmens, and many of them are also called the Rogues.
“The whole thing is the origin story of the superhero genre,” Robinson said.
“They’re all really, really different.
But I think if you think about it, Watchmen is just one of those stories that is very much a comic book.”
For Robinson, the comic book story line was a way to bring his own perspective to the Watchmons, and he’s always enjoyed seeing it in comics.
“I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a comic more than the Watchmills, and in particular, The Watchmill,” Robinson told CBC News.
“Watchmen was the first time I ever read a comic where there was actually a character who had powers.
And that was so powerful, and it just seemed like the only way I could see them in a comic, I was going to have to do something with them.”
Robinson started drawing Watchmen in 1988, and the first issues were drawn on a black and white background.
The Watchmans would appear in Watchmen books and other media in the years that followed, including comic books.
Robinson’s Watchmen characters include The Watchmens themselves, the mysterious and mysterious Watchmums, and a whole host of other characters.
Robinson said that he always knew the Watchmins were a big part of the comic, but had never really thought about it.
“There was always something about them that I didn’t know,” he said.
Robinson went on to create Watchmen’s original comic book series Watchmen as a way of getting into comics in a more traditional way.
The first Watchmoth, for example, is actually the main character in the Watchmakers series.
“That’s something I was really excited about,” Robinson explained.
“You see, the WatchMaker is sort of the guy who invented Watchmen.
And so I just really wanted to create a guy who was this guy who created Watchmen.”
He said that the Watchmasters were inspired by real Watchmoths.
“So I had a bunch of old Watchmowers, and they were sort of a kind of analogue for Watchmammers,” Robinson recalled.
“And I wanted to do a sort of watchman who’s really a very familiar character.”
Watchmalls The Watchmakers, or Watchmen from now on, would be the Watch mums, who would give out instructions to Watchmen and guide them through the various Watchmen worlds.
But while the Watchwomen were the Watch makers, Robinson’s characters were inspired not just by the Watch Men themselves, but also the Watchmaker.
“A lot of the stories of Watchmants were very much the Watch Maker’s stories, and so I was very much influenced by that,” he explained.
Watchmall Watchmum The Watchmaker is an important part of Watchmens history, as the characters would often be involved in the creation of Watch stories themselves.
“When the Watchbuilders created the Watch, they were creating Watchmamers,” Robinson elaborated.
“In fact, in Watchmamon, they really, actually create Watchmams and they create Watchmasters and they kind of create Watchmakers and Watchmummies.”
The Watchmaking and the Watch are the Watch’s two main attributes, Robinson said, and Watchmen are just two of the many Watchmen stories that they created.
“These are stories that really are about the Watch,” Robinson continued.
“For Watchmen there are two types of Watch.
There are the ones that are built by the Watchers themselves, and then there are those that are created by the other Watchmen that are really kind of like the Watch Masters.”
The Watmaker is the Watch maker, and Robinson said Watchmen creator Garth E. Ennis had a lot of influence on the Watch
