A new Marvel Comics title has been announced, but the hardcover edition is not a direct sequel to Deadpool #24: Danvers.
According to the announcement on Marvel’s website, the title will be the sequel to the popular “Deadpool” series and the follow-up to “DeadPOOL,” the original book in the series.
Danvers will take place in the 2080s, but will feature an entirely different universe, the writer says.
The title will also feature a new hero named Mr. Fisk, who will be a major new addition to the Deadpool universe.
“Deadpocalypse” will be written by Kevin Smith, with art by Steve McNiven and Michael Bodley.
Danver is set in the late 2080, a time when people have a new way of life and the world is undergoing a huge shift.
“Danvers is a perfect comic book setting for a new era,” Smith told ComicBook.com.
“I was looking for a place that felt very modern and contemporary, and it was a perfect fit.
There’s an element of science fiction that’s really interesting to me.
Danivers is the perfect place for me to start.”
Danvers was released in April and has been compared to Deadpool and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
The sequel is being developed by Marvel Studios.
